Autumn Bike, Hike & Walking Tours in Japan (3 Days)
While we recommend the 7 day tour, we realize that today's world is messed up and its hard to find even a week to have one of the most memorable and learningful vacations of your life. We don't want to leave busy people out, so we also offer 2 and 3 day tours covering some of the same ground.
Possible Itinerarytop
The itinerary for this trip is subject to change due to conditions (for example, a typhoon just wiped out one of the roads we planned to take!), but basic plan will follow a portion of the 7 day bike tour. Choosing your dates gives you some flexibility in terms of what portion you wish to join.
Option 1:Choose any two or three day portion from the 7 day ininerary and join us. We will pick you up from the nearest station and make sure that you are caught-up with the other riders. Reserve early, but be warned that there is an 8 person limit for the week, and 7-day participants take precident.
Option 2:If you will be visiting any time other than Oct 20-27, let us know your expected dates and we will choose the best area for fall colors and cultural experiences from the 7-day tour for that time period. This can be a mixture of hiking, biking, and walking.
For 2 and 3 day trips we gernerally ask you to arrive on the first bullet train to either Nagano or Yuzawa station. Were will meet you there with bikes and gear to take you to the start point. You will enjoy the same rural landscapes and glimpses into traditional lifestyles as the longer trip. On the last day you will be dropped off at a bullet-train stop in time to cath an evening train to Tokyo, or wherever else you need to get to. For those who wish to arrive the night before to get an early morning start, we will have very affordable lodging available for that first night with a minimal charge.
